Charm Partner Programme welcomes Inlab Networks
by Canonical on 27 October 2015
Canonical is excited to announce that Inlab Networks has joined the Charm Partner Programme. Canonical’s Charm Partner Programme helps solution providers make best use of Canonical’s universal service modeling tool, Juju; enabling instant workload deployment, integration, and scaling with a click of a mouse. Juju makes it easy to deliver complete solutions in minutes, through the use of Charms. The Juju Charm Store has over 300 cloud based applications ready to be used on most public and private clouds, as well as bare metal servers.
Inlab Networks will be charming BalanceNG, a modern, multithreading software load balancer and dynamic application delivery controller. BalanceNG utilizes its own highly specialized IP stack for IPv4 and IPv6 and implements an independent active/passive cluster environment based on VRRP and the “bngsync” session table synchronization protocol. Key features are its outstanding packet processing performance and its easy integrability in datacenter networks and OEM product lines which make it the perfect choice for network operators, hosting companies and telco product designers.
Thomas Obermair, CEO of Inlab Networks said, “With the dramatically raising importance of OpenStack for the telco sector, we are very excited to contribute our OpenStack/Neutron LBaaS (Load Balancer as a Service) BalanceNG driver to the Juju orchestration and modeling platform.”
Stefan Johannson, Global Director of Software Alliances at Canonical said, “As adoption of software defined networks rapidly accelerates, Inlab Networks’ load balancing and ADC solution will be a great addition to our charm portfolio. The BalanceNG charm will be a critical building block in the development and delivery of new services in the telco sector.”
