Quobyte joins the Charm Partner Programme

by Canonical on 15 October 2015

Canonical is excited to announce that Quobyte has joined the Charm Partner Programme. Canonical’s Charm Partner Programme helps solution providers make best use of Canonical’s universal service modeling tool, Juju; enabling instant workload deployment, integration, and scaling with a click of a mouse. Juju makes it easy to deliver complete solutions in minutes, on virtually any public or private cloud through the use of Charms. The Juju Charm Store has over 300 cloud based applications ready to be used on most public and private clouds, as well as bare metal.

Quobyte’s data center file system turns servers into a unified high performance storage infrastructure. It simplifies the provisioning and management of an OpenStack cloud by hosting virtual machines, shared file systems and object storage in a single software defined deployment. With its multitenancy capabilities, Quobyte is a ready to use foundation for service providers of any size.

“With Juju, Canonical is changing the game of infrastructure deployment. What is usually an elaborate manual process now comes really close to a one click install. It’s exciting to see Quobyte being deployed together with a whole OpenStack infrastructure so easily,“ said Felix Hupfeld, CTO at Quobyte.

“Quobyte offers a complete, scalable and resilient storage solution for our OpenStack users. We are thrilled to welcome them to our cloud ecosystem, and look forward to having their charm available in the Juju Charm Store,” said Stefan Johansson, Global Director of Software Alliances at Canonical.
