Ubuntu’s Juju wins Cloud Awards ‘Best Cloud Automation Solution’
by Mark Baker on 28 January 2014
We’re thrilled to announce that, out of 200 total entries, our service orchestration tool, Juju, has been named the 2013-2014 Cloud Awards winner for Best Cloud Automation Solution – a category new to the awards this year. The Cloud Awards are in their third year and recognise excellence in cloud computing across the globe.
Juju is a powerful tool that helps define, configure and deploy services to cloud quickly and easily. Juju packages application and workload configurations into best-practice Charms, which can be simply deployed through a web GUI or command line.
Today, hundreds of Charms have already been created, and users know they have been tested to ensure peak performance. Juju stands out for its ability to help users seamlessly design, deploy, scale and manage services across a wide range of cloud environments, without disruption.
We are extremely pleased to endorse Ubuntu’s Juju as a cloud services provider giving added value to its clients, disrupting business models and leveraging cloud technologies to be the best of the best.

Although still in its first year of adoption, Juju is growing at a rapid rate. In fact, our annual Server and Cloud Survey, which asked more than 5,800 IT administrators to share their experiences, found that, of the approximately 50 percent using a cloud service orchestration tool, 16 percent of respondents were already using Juju.
We’d like to thank the whole Ubuntu community for its support, and to Juju contributors who continue to add to our diverse Charms library. To learn more about Juju and how it can help you build and scale your cloud services, please visit: https://juju.ubuntu.com/
